Position Measurement

Kymati 1D Radar is designed for distance measurement of linear-moving machines. It introduces a new approach to the sensor market, combining robustness and attractive pricing with outstanding features and simple interfacing for quick integration.
Kymati Radar devices are based on the 61 GHz band with innovative MIMO antenna arrays, enabling redundant measurements and opening yet unknown fields of applications due to unprecedented technical and commercial features.
Radar, by nature, is ideally suited for applications under harsh weather conditions and in dusty areas, with no maintenance or adjustment after initial commissioning. The high resolution allows cost-effective, yet very precise sensor results.

Collision Avoidance

Avoid collisions when several cranes operate on the same rail. We preconfigure the sensors and controls with relay outputs so that you can wire them to the crane drives. For each direction you get a relay that opens to issue a slow speed and a relay that opens to issue a stop/crawl speed. How you use these outputs is at your discretion.
No-Fly Zones

By tracking the XY position of the crane, we can:
-
Limit crane movement when the hoist is over certain areas
-
Avoid collisions with machines or buildings on the plant floor
-
Stop the bridge or trolley from colliding with endstops
-
Prevent the crane bridge from hitting another crane bridge
This is a pre-engineered system with customization available. Using maintenance-free Radar sensors, we track the position of the bridge and trolley. We can also factor in the height of the hoist, typically with a digital input to indicate that it’s up but this can be customized. We preconfigure the sensors and controls with relay outputs so you can wire them to the crane drives. For each of the 4 directions you get 2 relays: one that opens to issue a slow speed and one that opens to issue a stop/crawl speed. How you use these outputs is at your discretion.
Positioning Assistance

Increase productivity by getting operators into position faster. With large cranes, operators often come up with visual cues to determine if they are in the right position. Using maintenance-free Radar sensors to measure the XY position of the crane, we give the operator a visual indication of how close they as the crane nears a configured coordinate so they can quickly fine-tune their position.
This is a pre-engineered system with customization available and can be combined with our No-Fly Zones System.
